Fritz

Fritz was one of three "pie carts" that used to park on Grey Street outside the old market near the city hall, where mules were used to pull the carts and then were housed behing the building in the trees by the Municpal Car Park and fed with hay until closing time. The original was owned by Fritz Packard who sold in 1955. The other two were owned by Sher and Jean. The "pie carts" stopped in the mid 60's when Hennie Sher built the Drive-In on the corner of Rhodes Street and 13th Avenue opposite the Dutch Reformed Church.
